Vacancy: Primary Year Leader
Location: Doha, Qatar
We are currently recruiting for a Primary Year Leader on behalf of an
Outstanding-rated British International School in Doha.
The school follows the National Curriculum of England and Wales, providing education for students aged 3 to 18.
The school has earned an excellent reputation in Qatar and has been rated Outstanding in every inspection category. It also holds a number of prestigious accreditations, including BSO and CIS, and is a proud member of BSME and AoBSO.
We are now seeking enthusiastic teachers to join a friendly, supportive team of expatriate staff within a thriving international school environment. All vacancies are for the next academic year – August 2026.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Full time class position with enhanced PPA time to fulfil TLR responsibilities
- Work in collaboration with the wider leadership team, ensuring that agreed policies and practices are delivered consistently.
- Lead on year group planning to ensure coverage, progression and a range of learning experiences across the year group (6 classes).
- Act as a coach/mentor to support with planning and assessment within the year group.
- Take responsibility for the coordination of pastoral care of students in the year group.
- Promote effective parent partnerships through facilitating learning focused workshops and celebrations of student's work.
- Plan and promote enrichment opportunities within the year group.
Requirements
Successful applicants will have extensive experience as a Primary Teacher. This role is suitable for an experienced Primary teacher wishing to step up into more of a leadership role.
- Degree & PGCE / QTS gained from the UK or Ireland
- British Curriculum teaching experience as a Primary Teacher
- Experience teaching in schools in the UK or Ireland as a KS1 or KS2 Teacher
