Imperium Group is seeking a highly accomplished and visionary Principal Architect to lead the design direction and architectural delivery of complex, high-profile developments. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight across multiple large-scale projects, ensuring architectural excellence, innovation, and alignment with client and business objectives.
- Direct the full architectural lifecycle, from concept ideation and design strategy through detailed design, documentation, and construction support.
- Lead the development of high-level design concepts, masterplans, and architectural visions, translating client briefs into compelling, buildable solutions.
- Act as the design authority, reviewing and approving all architectural deliverables to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with international standards.
- Oversee and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including architecture, structural, MEP, interiors, and external consultants, ensuring seamless integration across all design disciplines.
- Ensure full compliance with UAE regulations, authority requirements, and international codes, managing design approvals and regulatory processes.
- Drive design governance and quality assurance frameworks, conducting critical design reviews and technical evaluations throughout project stages.
- Lead client engagement at a senior level, managing relationships, presentations, and strategic discussions to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with project leadership to align design strategies with commercial objectives, budgets, and project timelines.
- Provide technical leadership during construction, overseeing design intent implementation, resolving complex site issues, and guiding responses to RFIs and technical queries.
- Identify and mitigate design risks and technical challenges, ensuring proactive and effective solutions.
- Mentor and develop senior and junior architects, fostering a high-performance, design-driven culture.
- Contribute to business development, bids, and design competitions, supporting the growth and market positioning of the firm.
- Establish and enhance internal design standards, processes, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement and consistency across projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture.
- 12+ years of progressive architectural experience, with a significant portion in senior leadership or principal-level roles.
- Proven track record of leading and delivering large-scale, high-end projects across residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use sectors.
- Exceptional strength in concept design, design development, and technical delivery, with the ability to translate vision into executable solutions.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex project lifecycles from inception through construction and handover.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence stakeholders, lead multidisciplinary teams, and drive decision-making.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Working knowledge of visualization tools such as 3ds Max, Lumion, or Enscape is an advantage.
- In-depth understanding of UAE building codes, authority approvals, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
