Exciting opportunity for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join a market-leading international consultancy in Dubai, leading the design and delivery of major mission critical and data centre projects across the Middle East region.

Requirements

• BA/BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

• 10+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering design within the built environment

• Proven experience delivering mission critical/data centre projects is essential

• Middle East project experience is required (GCC preferred)

• Candidates based outside the region will also be considered if they have delivered Middle East data centre projects

• Strong MEP systems design experience across complex developments

• Client-facing with strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Commercially astute with the ability to manage project expectations and delivery

• ATD and RCDD certifications are highly desirable

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and coordination of major mission critical/data centre projects across the region

• Manage the design and delivery of complex MEP systems from concept through to completion

• Provide technical leadership and oversight to project teams and junior engineers

• Work closely with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery

• Support commercial decision-making and contribute to business development where required

• Ensure all designs comply with relevant international and regional standards

• Report directly to the Head of Design and contribute to strategic project delivery across the business
