Key Responsibilities

  • Supports the business by communicating team resource loading and skill requirements to the direct supervisor.
  • Ensures the project work is covered for vacation and unplanned absences. Mentors/trains and supports the delivery of training.
  • Encourages knowledge of and compliance with requirements and processes.
  • Works to resolve inter-discipline, vendor, and customer issues.
  • Ensures discipline technical work and team activities meet all health, safety, environmental, and security requirements.
  • Determines technical issues, defines alternate solutions, establishes pros/cons for multiple solutions, and makes recommendations to support official project documents such as technical queries, technical deviations, etc.
  • Creates final documentation incorporating all relevant information and pursues internal authorization.
  • May review similar documentation to assist others and reviews/authorizes work done by direct reports.
  • Perform discipline specific design and drafting services such as:
    • Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes to scope comply with project change management processes;
    • If required, participate in studies and analyses and recommend actions;
    • Prepare and oversee the production of engineering drawings and documentation;
    • Ensure all drawings and documents are checked in accordance with Worley checking procedures;
    • Participate in project reviews as required.
Qualifications

Education Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

  • Trade Apprenticeship, Certificate, Diploma, Advance Diploma of Engineering Technology in Mechanical/Piping discipline.

Industry Specific Knowledge

  • Offshore experience (brownfield essential).
  • Proven experience of detailed piping design gained with design contractors and/or oil/gas companies within the industry.
  • Extensive design experience in the relevant discipline in the same or similar industry, and, where relevant, experience managing and leading multi-disciplinary projects and teams.

IT Skills

  • 2D Software: AutoCAD, Micro-Station
  • 3D Software: PDS, S3D / PDMS, E3D
  • 3D Review Software: Navisworks, SPR
  • LFM proficiency
  • Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power point

HSE Capability

  • Maintain HSE focus with the team to ensure OHSE requirements.
  • Demonstrate behaviour and business practices commensurate with a culture of world's best health, safety and environmental performance.
  • Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to:
    • Personal well-being;
    • Healthy and safe workplaces and activities; and
    • Continuously improve Worley health, safety and environmental performance.
    • Identify and report work hazards and incidents.
