Do you want to lead complex mission critical projects across the Middle East, working with a global consultancy shaping the future of digital infrastructure

This is a unique opportunity to join a market-leading team delivering hyperscale data centre projects across the UAE and wider MENA region. You'll take ownership of electrical design leadership, from concept through to completion, ensuring scalability, reliability, and energy efficiency at the highest global standards.

Working closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and IT specialists, you'll provide project leadership, technical excellence, and client engagement on some of the region's most exciting projects.

What Will You Be Doing as a Principal Electrical Engineer

• Lead electrical system design for hyperscale and enterprise data centres.
• Ensure compliance with international codes and Middle East authority standards.
• Deliver high-quality design packages including drawings, schematics, and technical reports.
• Drive innovation in resiliency, redundancy, and sustainable energy efficiency.
• Project manage multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.
• Conduct site inspections and oversee QA/QC during construction.
• Present confidently to clients, stakeholders, and industry bodies.
• Lead tender management including RFP preparation, contractor evaluation, and vendor engagement.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, contributing to a strong, collaborative culture.

Principal Electrical Engineer Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in MEP building services design, including 5+ years on data centre projects in the Middle East.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical / Building Services Engineering.
• Strong experience with hyperscale or mission critical facilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SKM Power Tools.
• In-depth knowledge of power distribution, redundancy, fault current analysis, grounding, harmonics, load management.
• Familiarity with international standards (IEEE, NFPA, ASHRAE, IEC, Uptime Institute, ISO/IEC, TIA, BSI).
• Accredited Tier Designer (ATD) certification preferred.
• Chartered Engineer status desirable (CIBSE, IET, ASHRAE).
• Excellent client-facing and leadership skills.
