The role holder is responsible for managing, maintaining and growing a portfolio of private clients and entities. Leading with advice to create long term, commercially rewarding relationships investing in the Discretionary Managed Portfolio Strategies, self-invested custody, lending solutions and supporting banking needs
Key Experience:
- Extensive private banking or wealth management experience.
- Act as relationship manager for a portfolio of clients, taking responsibility for all aspects of a client relationship with the bank. Provide a high level of service regarding banking, investments, wealth planning and credit including cross sell of services offered by the bank and the wider group
- Demonstrate proactive development of existing and potential private client relationships with a view to enhancing the value of existing relationships and securing business from new relationships
- Complete annual client suitability reviews and risk assessments for your portfolio of clients in a timely fashion
- Achieve financial targets as set out annually in support of the overall business strategy
- Comfortable working with complex client scenarios, multiple stakeholders, and delivering tailored, client-centric solutions
- Demonstrable success in growing and maintaining a book of high-value clients.
- Strong understanding of cross-border financial planning, investment advice, and lending solutions.
- Ability to generate sustainable revenue through new business acquisition and relationship deepening.
- Experience working in or supporting regulated jurisdictions.
- Proven leadership in managing or mentoring private banking teams.
Qualifications:
- Level 6 Investment Qualification (e.g., CISI Chartered Wealth Manager, CII Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, or equivalent).
- CeMAP qualified
- Active Statement of Professional Standing (SPS) and ongoing CPD in line with regulatory expectations.
- Chartered status (or a commitment to achieving this) is advantageous.
