About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Private Cook to join a private local family household in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be passionate about culinary arts, capable of preparing a wide range of international and Middle Eastern cuisines, and committed to delivering exceptional, personalized dining experiences. This role requires discretion, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to the family's preferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and serve daily meals for the family and guests, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, ensuring high standards of taste, presentation, and nutrition.
- Develop weekly menus in collaboration with the family, incorporating seasonal ingredients, cultural preferences, and any dietary restrictions (e.g., allergies, low-carb, or gluten-free).
- Source high-quality ingredients from local markets, suppliers, or international vendors, while managing kitchen inventory and budgets effectively.
- Maintain impeccable kitchen hygiene and organization, adhering to UAE food safety regulations and Halal standards.
- Cater for special events, gatherings, or entertaining, including formal dinners, barbecues, or themed meals for the family and guests.
- Accommodate varying schedules, including early mornings, late evenings, or weekends, with the flexibility to handle last-minute requests.
- Ensure all meals align with the family's lifestyle, such as incorporating Emirati dishes alongside global cuisines like Mediterranean, Asian, or European.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience as a Private Cook, Chef, or in a similar role within a private household, hotel, or restaurant (minimum 5-8 years).
- Formal culinary training or certification from a recognized institution is highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with UAE culinary culture, including Halal cooking practices and local ingredients.
- Good communication in English
- Filipino or Nepalese nationals are preferred
