Job Description: Process Engineer
1. Role Purpose:
To drive continuous process improvement across assigned machines by leveraging technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and analytical tools. The Process Engineer will lead optimization efforts in equipment performance, material utilization, and product quality while supporting plant-wide process control strategies and team development.
2. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a Continuous Process Improvement Program for assigned machines in collaboration with department resources to optimize equipment, materials, and quality performance.
- In coordination with the Technical Manager, design and execute the plant's Process Control Strategy to ensure compliance with specifications, and improve machine efficiency and waste reduction.
- Initiate and coordinate Quality Improvement Activities involving production, quality assurance, and technical support teams.
- Provide Process Expertise and act as a liaison with Head Office for machine modifications, rebuilds, product upgrades, and capital projects.
- Lead and enforce High Standards of Execution for machine trials and tests, ensuring disciplined implementation and documentation.
- Act as a resource to machine teams for Technical Problem Solving and analytical method application.
- Identify Process Training Needs and deliver training for Team Leaders, Technical Operators, and other team members.
- Maintain comprehensive Process Control Documentation for each line, serving as a central source of process history and development.
- Analyze Machine Efficiency Trends to identify root causes of mechanical, electrical, and process downtimes. Coordinate with relevant departments to implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Material Suppliers and their technical teams to optimize material runnability, with support from Corporate resources when needed.
- Actively participate in the Daily Operations Meeting Process, providing leadership in problem-solving and performance discussions.
- Foster strong collaboration with Team Leaders, Coaches, Mechanical & Electrical Engineers to execute process control strategies and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare Periodic Reports and contribute to Annual Budget Planning for relevant areas.
- Assist Mechanical and Electrical Engineers in developing and executing the Annual Preventive Maintenance (PM) Program.
- Work cross-functionally with professionals both inside and outside the Process Engineering discipline.
- Fulfill responsibilities outlined in the RACI Matrix currently adopted by FINE.
- Apply and promote knowledge of IWS (Integrated Work System) methodologies, especially in areas of Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM), to support long-term performance improvements.

- Support the identification of OHS hazards and environmental aspects related to the function.
- Ensure resource availability for safe and environmentally friendly operations.
- Maintain awareness of OHS hazards and environmental impacts associated with their role.
- Understand and perform pre-defined emergency roles as required.
- Comply with OHS and environmental management system requirements, understanding the consequences of non-compliance.

6. Qualifications, Experience, and Knowledge:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Experience: 3+ years in a process/production environment, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing
- Knowledge Areas:
- TQM (Total Quality Management)
- Six Sigma
- TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
- 5S methodology
- ERP Systems (preferably Oracle)
- IWS (Integrated Work System), with strong understanding of AM (Autonomous Maintenance) and PM (Preventive Maintenance) pillars
