About the role:
A Procurement Buyer is responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing process, ensuring that goods and services are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and delivered on time to support business operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Identify and evaluate suppliers
- Request quotations (RFQs) and compare offers
- Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules
- Maintain relationships with approved vendors
2. Purchase Order (PO) Management
- Create and issue purchase orders
- Ensure accuracy of quantities, pricing, and specifications
- Follow up with suppliers on order confirmations
3. Cost Control & Budget Awareness
- Ensure purchases are within budget
- Look for cost-saving opportunities
- Compare market prices and trends
4. Coordination with Internal Teams
- Work with departments (operations, warehouse, finance) to understand requirements
- Clarify specifications and timelines
- Ensure smooth communication between stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience within procurement or any related role.
