Job Summary:We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to manage and support procurement activities for Blue projects, including MEP systems, swimming pools, water features, fountains, and related civil works. The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for sourcing materials, equipment, and subcontracted services in line with project specifications, budgets, timelines, and company procurement policies, while ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
1. Procurement & Vendor Management:- Manage procurement activities for MEP materials, pool equipment, pumps, filters, pipes, electrical panels, control systems, and civil construction materials.
- Source, evaluate, and prequalify suppliers and subcontractors in accordance with project and company requirements.
- Issue RFQs, analyze quotations, conduct commercial and technical comparisons, and recommend best-value vendors.
- Negotiate prices, delivery terms, warranties, and payment terms within approved authority limits.
2. Purchase Orders & ERP Coordination:- Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders through the ERP system (Oracle / NetSuite).
- Ensure purchase orders are aligned with approved budgets, contracts, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with finance to ensure proper approvals, payment terms, and vendor onboarding.
- Monitor PO status, delivery schedules, and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
3. Technical & Project Coordination:- Coordinate closely with project managers, site engineers, and QC engineers to confirm technical requirements before procurement.
- Ensure all procured materials comply with approved submittals, drawings, and quality standards.
- Support material submittals, approvals, and inspections in coordination with QA/QC and consultants.
- Track long-lead items and proactively mitigate procurement risks affecting project timelines.
4. Cost Control & Reporting:- Support project cost control by tracking committed costs versus approved budgets.
- Prepare procurement status reports, material delivery schedules, and cost summaries.
- Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or compliance.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
5. Compliance & Process Adherence:- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, ISO procedures, and ethical procurement standards.
- Maintain proper documentation for contracts, supplier approvals, and procurement files.
- Support internal and external audits related to procurement and supply chain activities.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to procurement workflows.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline).
- 37 years of experience as a Procurement Engineer, preferably in MEP, construction, pools, or water features projects.
- Strong technical understanding of MEP systems, pool and fountain equipment, and construction materials.
- Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle or NetSuite preferred).
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract terms.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel for comparisons and cost analysis.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
