We are looking for a Procurement Engineer who will be responsible for handling the procurement process within Pico Play. This includes sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, and coordinating with the local team, ensuring efficient and cost-effective procurement to meet project needs. The role also involves liaising between local clients in Saudi Arabia and the Pico Play tender team in KL, ensuring smooth communication and timely procurement for tenders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project and organizational goals.
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including tendering, negotiations, vendor selection, and contract management.
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to identify material and service needs.
- Analyse market trends to source the best products, services, and suppliers.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to meet project schedules.
- Manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and accountability.
- Monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues related to delivery, quality, or service.
- Prepare and maintain detailed procurement records and reports for audits and reviews.
- Implement and enforce procurement policies and procedures.
- Foster relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in procurement within the MEP, AVCL, fitout or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, vendor management, and market analysis.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, PMP, or equivalent.
- Experience in sustainable procurement practices.
- Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
