Job Description

Role Overview

You will own Humantra's procurement function by managing supplier relationships, contract negotiations and supply risk to ensure high quality, reliable and cost efficient supply of our finished goods, ingredients and packaging across our multi-market omnichannel operations. Working closely with the Demand Planning Manager, you will translate demand plans into purchase orders and coordinate inbound shipments to Humantra's international warehouses to maintain strong availability.

This role is critical in building a world class, scalable procurement function to support Humantra's growth and will report into the Operations Manager.

Job Description

Supplier & Buying Management

  • Own relationships with manufacturing/ing/pack partners and responsible for hitting our COGS budget.
  • Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, payment terms, and commercial agreements.
  • Monitor and improve supplier performance across reliability, quality, and cost.
  • Identify and onboard additional suppliers to support growth or mitigate supply risk.
  • Analyse cost drivers and identify opportunities to improve margins.
  • Future proof by ensuring sufficient capacity as we grow and building a robust supply base.

Procurement Planning & Execution

  • Translate demand forecasts into purchasing and production plans.
  • Create and manage purchase orders with suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Maintain purchasing schedules aligned with supplier lead times and capacity.
  • Ensure reliable product availability by coordinating order timing and supplier commitments.

Shipment Coordination

  • Coordinate shipments from manufacturers to Humantra's international warehouses.
  • Maintain visibility on inbound shipments and expected warehouse arrival dates.

Operational Excellence

  • Track, report and improve performance on supply chain KPIs.
  • Support new product launches and retail expansion from a supply chain perspective

Requirements

  • Minimum 35+ years experience in procurement & supply chain.
  • Must have: Experience in consumer goods and high growth / fast paced environments.
  • Ideal but not essential: wellness/supplements experience.
  • Experience working in an omnichannel business (DTC and retail).
  • Strong buying negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Analytical and solutions-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ownership mindset and comfortable being the first procurement hire.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced scaleup environment.
