Job Description

Our client is looking for a Procurement Officer to join their team based in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities will Include:

  • Assist in processing purchase requisitions and purchase orders in line with approved procedures and budgets.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Maintain procurement records including quotations, purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices for audit and reference.
  • Support vendor evaluation and registration by collecting relevant documentation and updating the supplier database.
  • Follow up on pending deliveries and resolve routine supplier issues in coordination with the Procurement Manager.
  • Assist in preparing comparison sheets and basic cost analysis for routine purchases.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures at all times.
  • Generate regular reports on procurement status, pending orders, and inventory updates as required.

Who we're looking for:

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in procurement, supply chain or related field.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years working experience within engineering and power plant operations.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software's.
  • Professional certifications (e.g. CIPS, CSCP, PMP) is a plus.
  • Familiarity of legal, regulatory and compliance requirements in procurement, supply chain.
  • Good negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Must have Arabic and English proficiency.
