Job Description

Job Purpose:

Administrate procurement of goods and services for Al Masaood Group multiple divisions. Establish Procurement process and relationship to support the business efficiently with its tactical day-to day needs to support the Business unit requirements

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the daily activities of the procurement department.
  • Reviewing, comparing, evaluating, and approving products and services.
  • Timely converting the Purchase requisition to the PO in accordance with Procurement SLA's
  • Maintain accurate records and databases with easy access to retrieve the information.
  • Ensuring the Group Procurement Policy and MOA is adhered to through the process.
  • Support BU with monthly Purchase order reporting
  • Promoting good procurement practice supporting requesters.
  • Adhering to Procurement Policy and other organisational compliance
  • Working closely with Procurement BP's from other BU's and review opportunities and synergies for continuous improvements
  • Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
  • Adhering to Al Masaood health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of self, staff and visitors
  • Negotiating existing and new contracts, for lower risk categories focusing on delivering values and reducing the costs for the business
  • Reviewing and managing supplier base to ensure consistency with the sourcing strategy.

Background & Experience (years)

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Procurement (preferably in HR or IT)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Finance/Supply chain or any relevant.
  • CIPS would be an advantage
  • Experience in administrating and negotiating contracts terms and conditions
  • Track record on cost savings and value add activities
  • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, vendor risk management)
  • English – Fluent (required)
