Job Purpose:
Administrate procurement of goods and services for Al Masaood Group multiple divisions. Establish Procurement process and relationship to support the business efficiently with its tactical day-to day needs to support the Business unit requirements
Core Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the daily activities of the procurement department.
- Reviewing, comparing, evaluating, and approving products and services.
- Timely converting the Purchase requisition to the PO in accordance with Procurement SLA's
- Maintain accurate records and databases with easy access to retrieve the information.
- Ensuring the Group Procurement Policy and MOA is adhered to through the process.
- Support BU with monthly Purchase order reporting
- Promoting good procurement practice supporting requesters.
- Adhering to Procurement Policy and other organisational compliance
- Working closely with Procurement BP's from other BU's and review opportunities and synergies for continuous improvements
- Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
- Adhering to Al Masaood health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of self, staff and visitors
- Negotiating existing and new contracts, for lower risk categories focusing on delivering values and reducing the costs for the business
- Reviewing and managing supplier base to ensure consistency with the sourcing strategy.
Background & Experience (years)
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Procurement (preferably in HR or IT)
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Finance/Supply chain or any relevant.
- CIPS would be an advantage
- Experience in administrating and negotiating contracts terms and conditions
- Track record on cost savings and value add activities
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, vendor risk management)
- English – Fluent (required)
