PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing multi-category procurement activities across Marketing, Insurance, Human Resources, and Professional Services. The role requires strong commercial acumen, sound market and service knowledge, and effective coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure cost-effective, compliant, and timely procurement aligned with organizational objectives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage end-to-end strategic procurement activities for multiple categories including Marketing, Insurance, HR, and Professional Services
Lead commercial evaluations, including vendor assessment, bid analysis, negotiations, and contract finalization
Develop and maintain strong market, supplier, and service knowledge across assigned categories
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure timely procurement support
Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining service quality and compliance standards
Prepare and review commercial documents, purchase orders, contracts, SLAs, and related documentation
Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, procedures, and governance standards
Monitor supplier performance, manage renewals, and resolve commercial or service-related issues effectively
QUALIFICATION
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
Additional qualifications in procurement, supply chain, or commercial management are an advantage
EXPERIENCE
68 years of relevant experience in non-technical, multi-category procurement
Proven experience in handling commercial procurement for Marketing, Insurance, HR, and Professional Services
Candidates from service provider or agency organizations are not suitable for this role
SKILLS
Strong commercial and analytical skills with hands-on experience using procurement platforms such as SAP Ariba, GEP SMART, Coupa, or Ivalua; experience with procurement ERP systems such as MS Dynamics is required
Good understanding of service-based procurement, commercial terms, contracts, and SLAs
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities
Ability to manage multiple categories, priorities, and stakeholders effectively
PREFERRED INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience working with a Real Estate, Retail, or Large Corporate organization is strongly preferred
