Job Summary

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing day-to-day purchasing activities, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring the availability of required materials and services. The role will focus on achieving the right balance of cost, quality, and delivery while supporting supply chain and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchase goods, materials, components, and services in line with cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
  • Work closely with project and internal teams to understand procurement requirements.
  • Prepare and send RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs to relevant suppliers.
  • Research market trends, price benchmarks, and new products to support purchasing decisions.
  • Monitor inventory and ensure the continuous availability of required materials.
  • Create and follow up on purchase orders through the ERP/MRP system.
  • Follow up with suppliers on order confirmations and update orders in the system.
  • Review supplier invoices and ensure alignment with purchase requests and delivered goods.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and close related claims.
  • Support supplier evaluation, contracts, purchasing agreements, and supplier performance monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate supplier and master data within the ERP system.
  • Support cost optimization and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A background in Supply Chain Management is preferred.
  • 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across different functions.
  • Procurement and purchasing processes.
  • Supplier sourcing and evaluation.
  • RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
  • Understanding of Incoterms and import/export processes.
  • Knowledge of material requirements and capacity planning.
  • Understanding of supplier performance and purchasing agreements.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or Oracle is required.
  • English: Excellent.
  • Ability to manage multiple procurement requirements and follow up with suppliers.
  • Ability to analyze prices and supplier information.
  • Ability to identify and communicate potential supply issues.
  • Ability to work against KPIs and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
