Are you ready to join a dynamic and fast-paced Global Procurement Organization (GPO) supporting Amazon Stores Operations By becoming part of the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) Site Procurement Operations (SPO) Team, you will have the opportunity to lead strategic vendor relationships and drive supplier excellence for our internal business partners at local, national, regional, and global levels.

In the role of SPO Vendor Manager, you will serve as the primary liaison between Amazon and our strategic supplier base, working in a cross-functional environment with Operations, Procurement peers, support departments, and vendors. This role empowers you to build, nurture, and optimize vendor partnerships that deliver value to the business. You will play a key role in driving supplier performance, continuous improvement, innovation, sustainability, and mitigating supply chain risks through effective vendor governance.

Overall, the role delivers Key SPO Performance Indicators targets that create value for the Business, including savings, compliance, sustainability, supplier performance excellence, Invoice on Hold resolution, and more.

Key job responsibilities

Vendor Relationship Management

Own and manage end-to-end vendor relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for strategic suppliers across the EMEA network.

Develop and maintain strong, collaborative partnerships with key vendors to ensure alignment with Amazon's operational goals and standards.

Lead regular vendor engagement through structured governance cadences including Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).

Proactively address vendor concerns, resolve escalations, and ensure vendors have the support needed to deliver optimal service levels.

Champion vendor experience by ensuring smooth payment processes, clear communication channels, and timely issue resolution.

Drive vendor development initiatives to enhance capabilities, capacity, and alignment with Amazon's evolving needs.

Vendor Performance & Governance

Establish, monitor, and enforce vendor performance standards using KPIs, SLAs, and scorecards across quality, delivery, cost, sustainability, and responsiveness.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and hold vendors accountable to contractual commitments and service expectations.

Implement corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA) with underperforming vendors, driving measurable improvements.

Lead vendor risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure supply continuity and business resilience.

Ensure compliance with contractual terms and Amazon policies, driving vendor adherence to ethical, legal, and sustainability standards.

Own supplier performance metrics and reporting, providing visibility to leadership and stakeholders on vendor health and trends.

Internal Partnership & Stakeholder Management

Be the face of Vendor Management for operations on-site, building effective business partnerships.

Proactively partner with (i) Site Leadership, (ii) other GPO teams such as Category or Global Supplier Management, and (iii) key partner functions such as Finance or Legal.

Bring vendor expertise to key internal processes such as GEMBAs, Daily Deep Dives, and strategic planning sessions.

Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for vendor management best practices, supplier categories, and processes. Extend SME responsibilities to different scales, including EMEA level.

Be an ambassador of internal Spending & Transaction and GPO policies. Educate and drive correct behaviors from Business Partners toward vendor management rules and best practices.

Provide functional skills training on vendor management practices, including to other GPO members.

Systems, Tools & Analytics

Utilize various applications and systems to provide reliable vendor performance reporting and data (ERP, Coupa, Quicksight, PowerBI, etc.).

Develop and maintain vendor scorecards, dashboards, and performance tracking mechanisms.

Use and enhance available tools to analyze and leverage opportunities and risks related to vendor performance, spend, compliance, and other aspects.

This pillar sits at the heart of site operations and works with local stakeholders to deliver procurement solutions to complex on-site projects.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience in procurement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
  • 5+ years of supply chain management, planning, strategic sourcing, commodity management or program management experience
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP, ORACLE, Coupa) in large organizations
