Overview
The MRP Planner is responsible for managing and maintaining material requirements planning processes to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components required for production. This role ensures optimal inventory levels, supports production schedules, and coordinates with procurement, production, and supply chain teams to prevent shortages or excess stock.
Responsibilities
- Run and manage MRP calculations in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Analyze demand forecasts and production schedules to determine material requirements.
- Ensure timely procurement of raw materials and components.
- Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock and avoid shortages or overstock.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, and Warehouse teams.
- Identify supply risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Maintain accurate master data (lead times, lot sizes, safety stock levels).
- Track supplier performance related to delivery timelines.
- Generate reports on inventory, shortages, and planning performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning and supply chain processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or supply chain management.
- 25 years of experience in material planning, production planning, or supply chain roles.
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
