A rapidly expanding global activewear brand in Dubai is seeking a Product Developer & Garmenht Technologist to oversee the end-to-end technical development of performance products, from concept through to final production.

They focus on technical innovation, premium quality, and pushing the boundaries of activewear design. Collaborating closely with Design, Sourcing, and Merchandising, you will ensure each style delivers optimal fit, functionality, and quality aligned with their brand standards.
The Role
- You will lead the end-to-end global sourcing strategy, managing suppliers, fabrics, development, and production across multiple regions.
- Collaborate closely with Design from concept stage, advising on fabric selection, trims, construction techniques, and performance requirements to ensure product intent is technically achievable.
- Manage garment blocks, fit standards, and construction guidelines, ensuring consistency across sizing, grading, and fit execution.
- Draft, review, and adjust patterns manually and/or using CAD systems to support accurate fit and construction.
- Produce and maintain detailed technical specifications, tech packs, and production instructions to clearly communicate requirements to factories and internal stakeholders.
- Review and approve prototypes, development samples, and pre-production samples, ensuring alignment with approved tech packs, fit standards, and construction expectations.
- Lead and participate in fit sessions, delivering clear, actionable technical feedback to factories and pattern makers; document fit comments, update graded specifications, and support fit decision-making.
- Identify, analyse, and resolve fit, construction, and performance issues throughout the development lifecycle, driving solutions in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
About You
- Minimum of 3 years experience across product development and garment technology, ideally within activewear or performance-led apparel.
- Proven capability in technical problem-solving and effective supplier communication to resolve construction, quality, and production challenges.
- Strong knowledge of quality control processes, garment and fabric testing standards, and performance evaluation.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and PLM systems.
