Job Description
The Product Development Specialist is responsible for driving the end-to-end development of new products, from idea generation and market research to product launch. This role ensures that every new product reflects MY WAY's quality standards, customer needs, and market trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying gaps and opportunities by analyzing consumer trends, competitor launches, and internal sales data.
- Contribute to generating and validating new product ideas that align with My Way's brand strategy.
- Support the preparation of product briefs, including concepts, target consumers, positioning, and key selling points.
- Collaborate with R&D labs, suppliers, and packaging partners to help create formulations and packaging that meet cost, safety, and sustainability standards.
- Aid in managing project timelines, budgets, and coordination with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Procurement, Quality, and Production) from concept to launch.
- Participate in overseeing product testing (stability, safety, performance) and ensure compliance with Egyptian and international regulations.
- Provide product knowledge and assist in developing claims and training materials for catalogues, social media, and sales teams.
- Monitor product performance and assist in recommending improvements or line extensions based on feedback and data analysis.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 24 years of experience in product development within cosmetics, personal care, FMCG, or related industries.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of formulation principles, packaging materials, and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
