Job Description
Country Product Leader
We are currently conducting a confidential executive search for an experienced Country Product Leader to oversee a major national product portfolio.
This key executive role carries full P&L accountability for the strategic development, commercial growth, and operational performance of a core business unit. The incoming leader will spearhead product positioning, vendor procurement strategies, and trade lane optimization while driving top-line revenue and unit profitability across all import/export corridors.
Core Responsibilities
- Financial Accountability & P&L: Direct national P&L performance, focusing on yield optimization, revenue expansion, and margin management.
- Strategic Leadership: Formulate and execute the national product strategy, aligning country capabilities with broader regional and global initiatives.
- Carrier & Partner Relations: Lead high-stakes negotiations with key global carriers, suppliers, and service partners to secure optimal rate structures and capacity commitments.
- Commercial Growth & RFQs: Collaborate with senior sales leaders on strategic enterprise acquisitions, complex global tenders, and major account retention.
- Operational Governance: Oversee end-to-end service delivery standards, regulatory compliance, and risk management across all active trade corridors.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor global transport economics, capacity trends, and trade regulations to capitalize on market opportunities.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive executive leadership within global logistics or freight forwarding, with a focus on procurement, product pricing, or trade lane development.
- Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge of international shipping markets, carrier alliances, vendor contract negotiations, and global trade compliance.
- Leadership & Financial Acumen: Proven track record of managing division P&Ls, negotiating high-value contracts, and steering operations through supply chain volatility.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Languages: Business fluency in English required.
