Job Description

Job Summary

Responsible for owning the end-to-end product lifecycle of regulated fintech and Open Banking products, from strategy and discovery through delivery, launch, and continuous improvement. Acts as the central point of alignment between business, engineering, compliance, cybersecurity, and operations to ensure products deliver measurable business value while meeting SAMA and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Define and own product vision, roadmap, and priorities aligned with company strategy and market needs.
  • Translate business objectives into clear product initiatives, MVP definitions, and phased delivery plans.
  • Identify and evaluate new Open Banking and B2B financial services use cases, including value-added APIs and platform capabilities.

Product Discovery & Requirements

  • Lead product discovery through stakeholder interviews, market analysis, and problem framing.
  • Produce clear product artifacts including PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business rules.
  • Define MVP scope vs post-MVP features with strong rationale based on risk, value, and effort.

Delivery & Execution

  • Work closely with engineering teams to plan, prioritize, and deliver product increments using Agile methodologies.
  • Own backlog management in Jira, including epics, stories, dependencies, and release planning.
  • Actively manage trade-offs between scope, timeline, quality, and compliance.

Stakeholder & Executive Management

  • Serve as the primary interface between executives, business development, engineering, compliance, and operations.
  • Prepare and present product updates, roadmap reviews, and strategic proposals to senior leadership and CEO.
  • Align cross-functional teams on priorities, timelines, and success metrics.

Regulatory Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure product design and delivery align with SAMA regulations, Open Banking standards, and internal governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with compliance and cybersecurity teams to embed controls into the product lifecycle (secure SDLC).
  • Support readiness for audits, certifications, and regulatory reviews from a product perspective.

Platform & Operations Enablement

  • Define and support internal admin and operations portals, including ticketing, user roles, automation, and reporting.
  • Contribute to ITSM and operational workflows where they intersect with product functionality and customer experience.

Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Define product success metrics (adoption, usage, revenue impact, operational efficiency).
  • Use data and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve product performance and customer outcomes.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong product ownership mindset with bias toward delivery
  • Deep experience working with engineering teams in Agile environments
  • Ability to operate in highly regulated environments (fintech, banking, Open Banking)
  • Executive-level communication and stakeholder management
  • Structured thinking, problem decomposition, and prioritization
  • Practical experience with Jira and product documentation
  • Proficiency in English
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
