About the RoleWe are seeking a seasoned Product Owner to join our agile product team. In this critical role, you will be the key stakeholder representative for our software products, responsible for defining the product vision in collaboration with stakeholders, managing the product backlog, and ensuring the development team delivers maximum value to our users and the business.
The position begins asfully remotefor thefirst 3 monthsto facilitate a smooth onboarding and initial integration period. After this period, the role will transition to anonsite/hybrid modelat our [City] office, where you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Product Vision & Strategy:Collaborate with the Product Manager, stakeholders, and customers to understand business needs, market trends, and user pain points. Help translate the product strategy into a actionable roadmap.
- Backlog Management:Be the sole author and owner of the product backlog. Write clear, detailed user stories and acceptance criteria that align with business objectives and user needs. Prioritize backlog items based on value, effort, and strategic alignment.
- Agile Team Leadership:Act as the primary point of contact for the development team. Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and review sessions. Clarify requirements and make timely decisions to keep the team moving forward.
- Stakeholder Communication:Effectively communicate product plans, progress, and releases to all stakeholders, including senior management, sales, marketing, and customer success. Manage expectations and gather feedback.
- Release Management:Define release scope and work with the team to plan and execute successful product increments. Ensure high-quality, usable software is delivered on schedule.
- Data-Driven Decisions:Utilize metrics, user analytics, A/B testing, and customer feedback to inform prioritization and measure product success.
- Market & User Research:Stay informed about industry competitors and leading trends. Conduct user interviews and usability sessions to deeply understand customer workflows.
Qualifications & SkillsRequired:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in a software/SaaS environment.
- Proven experience in managing the full product lifecycle from conception to launch in an Agile/Scrum framework.
- Exceptional skills in writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and creating process flows/wireframes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively and manage competing demands.
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred:
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification.
- Experience with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Aha!, Productboard).
- Technical background or sufficient understanding of software development to engage meaningfully with engineers.
