Job Description

A Production Engineer in the Aluminum & Facade industry is primarily responsible for managing and controlling factory floor production activities to ensure that fabrication is accurate, efficient, and meets project deadlines. This role acts as a critical link between the design, procurement, and site installation teams to ensure high-quality output and minimal wastage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Factory Operations Management: Supervise daily factory production for aluminum and facade systems, including windows, doors, and curtain walls.
  • Production Planning: Prepare daily and weekly production schedules based on site requirements, delivery dates, and material availability.
  • Technical Review: Review approved shop drawings before fabrication to ensure strict adherence to latest revisions and system details.
  • Quality Control: Enforce production checklists and ensure fabrication complies with international standards (e.g., European system standards) regarding profile tolerances and hardware installation.
  • Resource Optimization: Coordinate with procurement for material planning (profiles, glass, hardware) while monitoring productivity and reducing material wastage.
  • Workforce Supervision: Manage and lead factory technicians, fabricators, and supervisors, ensuring skill-appropriate task allocation and safety compliance.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit daily production reports, progress summaries, and quality/rejection logs.
