A leading company is looking for a Production Engineer Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing and managing all production activities related to the Safety Shower Project, ensuring efficient manufacturing, assembly, and quality compliance. The Production Engineer Supervisor
Project is responsible for verifying the bill of materials for each model, maintaining optimal stock levels based on production combinations, and ensuring smooth workflow within the facility.
The role ensures that all products are fabricated and tested in accordance with international design standards and project requirements, utilizing appropriate welding and laser cutting technologies to achieve the required safety, performance, and delivery standards.
What you will be working on :
- Engineering Support: Interpret engineering activities by reviewing generated drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM). Provide recommendations on best manufacturing practices based on his production experience in safety shower systems, to enhance product design, reduce cumulative lead time (materials and production), and optimize minimum stock levels according to client demand forecasts.
- Production Process Management: Responsible for arranging the facility layout based on process flow to ensure smooth operations. Prepares raw material requirements to fulfill production orders and manages daily production activities to achieve high employee performance. Verifies that all work is completed in accordance with the approved drawings and technical requirements. Also, Prepare and maintain the OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) time sheet to monitor equipment performance, availability, and production efficiency. Record data on equipment uptime, downtime, speed loss, and quality output to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities. Analyze trends, generate periodic OEE reports, and provide recommendations to enhance productivity, reduce losses, and ensure continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.
- Inventory Control and Monitoring: Handling inventory and stock within the company system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records. Monitors regular inventory checks and provides management with details on safe storage conditionssuch as temperature and humidity levelsto prevent material spoilage. Identifies and reports any discrepancies or potential issues to ensure stock reliability and efficiency.
- Production Documentation & Compliance: Maintain, control, and review production documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with approved procedures, drawings, and specifications. Verify that in-process/intermediate goods conform to the documentation, enabling traceability, audit readiness, and release to subsequent production stages. All documents and records shall be stored, updated, and managed through the company's system using the applicable software to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- 5S Management: Implement and maintain the 5S methodology across all production and operational areas to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient workplace. Oversee activities related to sorting, organizing, cleaning, standardizing, and sustaining work environments to enhance productivity, safety, and product quality. Conduct regular 5S audits, train team members on best practices, and ensure continuous improvement through corrective and preventive actions.
- Equipment Status Monitoring: Monitor and maintain the operational status of all production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities, report any malfunctions or deviations, and coordinate with Management for timely repairs. Ensure that equipment calibration, servicing, and documentation are up to date in accordance with company standards and safety requirements.
Your Areas of Expertise:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in production, engineering, and inventory management, including a minimum of 3 years in safety shower manufacturing.
- Experience in hazardous area safety shower systems.
- Solid understanding of safety shower fabrication processes and the materials used in accordance with international standards.
- Possesses knowledge of minimum stock level planning based on takt and cycle time for each product, and the ability to verify process quality aspects.
- Proficient in using SolidWorks for reading and modifying CAD drawings to ensure compliance with actual product specifications.
- Strong risk management skills, with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to supply chain and production operations, including material delays, inventory shortages, and compliance issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines.
- Excellent Knowledge in SAP B1 software.
- Ability to work on startup companies.
- SolidWorks certification.
- Project management certification PMP is an advantage.
