Job Description

Job Title: Production Manager

Reports To: Plant Manager & D365 Work Stream Lead KSA

Business Unit: ACCBC Manufacturing

Function: Supply Chain

Grade: TBC

Location: Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Job Purpose

The Production Manager is the Plant Manager's primary execution partner for all production and packaging operations at the Dammam plant. The role is accountable for translating approved supply plans into safe, efficient, and quality-compliant production output across all lines, delivering volume commitments, schedule adherence, OEE improvement, and waste reduction in direct support of the plant's cost-per-case and service targets.

The Production Manager leads the shift and line leadership team, drives daily performance routines, and escalates structural constraints and risks to the Plant Manager for enterprise-level resolution. The role does not carry primary D365 system ownership that accountability sits with the Plant Manager but is responsible for accurate and disciplined execution of production transactions within the system.

Operating Context

  • High-volume, multi-line, multi-SKU beverage manufacturing environment (cans, PET, NRB) in Dammam, KSA
  • Schedule adherence and OEE improvement are central to the plant's CPC reduction mandate
  • Operations run within a D365 F&O-enabled production environment; accurate transaction discipline is required at the floor level
  • Saudization requirements apply; active development of national talent in production roles is expected
  • Strong compliance requirements: Coca-Cola KORE, GMP, HACCP, ISO, and KSA regulatory standards
  • Lean operating model with high interdependency between Production, Maintenance, QHSE, Planning, and Warehouse

Key Roles and Responsibilities

A. Production Planning & Schedule Execution

  • Convert approved supply and IBP plans into stable daily and weekly production schedules in coordination with the Planning team.
  • Manage line allocation, shift patterns, changeover sequencing, and resource deployment to maximise throughput and minimise downtime.
  • Achieve and sustain production schedule adherence 95% across all lines.
  • Identify and resolve short-term constraints (material, labour, equipment) and escalate medium-term risks to the Plant Manager.
  • Own the SQCDP daily performance routine and ensure disciplined follow-through on all open actions.

B. OEE & Line Performance Improvement

  • Own OEE performance in the production domain, driving improvement from the plant's current baseline through structured loss analysis.
  • Lead daily and weekly OEE review routines, identifying the top speed, availability, and quality losses on each line.
  • Partner with Maintenance to eliminate chronic equipment downtime contributing to production losses.
  • Drive changeover time reduction and minor-stoppage elimination through structured CI initiatives.
  • Report OEE trends and line efficiency to the Plant Manager with clear root-cause analysis and action plans.

C. Quality & Food Safety in Production

  • Ensure all production operations comply with GMP, HACCP, KORE, ISO, and applicable KSA regulatory requirements.
  • Own in-process quality checks, CCP monitoring, and production-side corrective actions arising from quality incidents.
  • Lead production team participation in internal and external audits, maintaining zero critical findings in the production domain.
  • Enforce packaging integrity, fill accuracy, and label compliance across all lines.
  • Escalate systemic quality deviations to the Plant Manager and QHSE Manager with full root-cause documentation.

D. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Embed a zero-harm safety culture across all production shifts, lines, and work areas.
  • Ensure full compliance with PTW, LOTO, machine-guarding, and all production-area HSE standards.
  • Lead incident investigations for production-related near misses and injuries; close corrective actions on time.
  • Maintain 100% HSE training completion for all production personnel under direct supervision.
  • Support the Plant Manager in delivering site LTIFR reduction targets.

E. Cost Control & Waste Reduction

  • Control production OPEX including direct labour, consumables, packaging materials, and yield losses.
  • Drive structured waste and yield improvement programmes targeting annual reduction of 15% in identifiable loss categories.
  • Monitor and report production cost-per-case contribution and identify corrective actions where targets are missed.
  • Ensure efficient use of raw and packaging materials, minimising overruns, write-offs, and reconciliation gaps.

F. D365 Production Transaction Discipline

  • Ensure timely, accurate execution of all production-related transactions in D365 F&O: production orders, material consumption, output posting, and scrap reporting.
  • Maintain data integrity for BOMs and routing at the floor level in coordination with the Plant Manager's D365 governance mandate.
  • Support the Plant Manager and IT / functional consultants in UAT, hypercare, and issue resolution as required this is a supporting role, not primary system ownership.
  • Raise data quality issues, master data gaps, or system workflow problems promptly to the Plant Manager for resolution.

G. People Leadership & Capability Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop the production shift leadership team and line operators across all shifts.
  • Build a high-performance production culture through clear accountability, structured performance reviews, and visible daily leadership.
  • Develop succession plans for critical production roles and actively progress national talent in line with Saudization targets.
  • Conduct structured skills assessments and ensure training plans are in place and executed for all production staff.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, discipline, and continuous improvement across the production team.

H. Reporting & Plant Manager Alignment

  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly production performance reports to the Plant Manager covering volume, efficiency, quality, safety, and cost.
  • Escalate risks to volume delivery, quality compliance, or safety with clear options and recommended actions.
