Position: Production Manager [Steal]

Location: Kuwait [Mubarak AlKabeer] – Factory

Type: Full-time

As a Production Manager [Steal] at ABYAT, you'll be responsible for managing steel fabrication and metal works production, ensuring precision, efficiency, and high-quality output across custom metal structures and fit-out components.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Oversight

• Manage full fabrication process: Cutting, bending, drilling, welding, grinding, assembly, finishing.
• Ensure adherence to production plans and delivery schedules.

Planning & Shopfloor Control

• Allocate manpower and machines effectively
• Monitor shopfloor activities and productivity
• Interpret fabrication and technical drawings accurately
• Ability to create and review Bills of Materials (BOMs) as needed, while ensuring material accuracy and minimizing shortages or variances.

Quality & Technical Control

• Ensure: Welding quality and standards, Dimensional accuracy, Surface finishing (coating / powder coating)
• Minimize rework, defects, and material waste

Cross Functional Coordination

• Coordinate with:Design & Engineering, Supply Chain & Warehouse, Quality & Installation teams

Reporting & Improvement

• Monitor KPIs: productivity, efficiency, wastage, and quality
• Provide daily/weekly production reports
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• 7–10 years in steel fabrication / metal works.
• 3-5 years in production leadership
• Strong knowledge of: Welding techniques, Fabrication processes, Surface finishing and coatings
• Ability to read fabrication drawings
• Fluent in English (Arabic is a must)
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineer, Product Design or related field.
