Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop overall technical strategies (scheduling/resources/ execution) from technical requirements
  • Communicate with stakeholders on a regular basis regarding progress, challenges, timelines and end results
  • supervise the manufacturing of customized/collection furniture with outsourcing workshops and factories.
  • Supervise the installation and products quality.
  • Present technical strategies to stakeholders and gather technical requirements as needed
  • Review design and functional documents
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues as needed
  • Research technical issues and provide recommendations to enhance the product.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and shifting priorities
  • Perform design review sessions with other tech leads and suggest improvements or alternate approaches when appropriate
  • Assist project managers and directors with the creation of task-level project plans that detail the specific tasks required to deliver a solution
  • Work closely with product design managers to ensure that expectations are met and that the team adheres to project schedules and budgets

Required Qualifications (Please mention Required/Desirable Qualifications)

  • Bachelor degree in applied arts or relevant discipline
  • 6 -8 years of professional work experience is a must

Skills Required (Please mention Required/Desirable Skills)

  • In-depth understanding materials, manufacturing techniques & Handling manufacturing.
  • Deep understanding of furniture/wooden works/cabinets/metal works.
  • Proficiency in using CAD/Rhino.
  • Leadership: Ability to motivate, direct, and build a cohesive team to meet production targets.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills to liaise with different departments, articulate requests clearly, and provide clear direction.
  • Problem-solving: Capacity to remain calm and act decisively to address production issues or technical problems that arise.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to handle changing priorities, new requirements, and unexpected challenges while maintaining high standards.
  • Conflict resolution: Ability to mediate and resolve conflicts within the team.
  • Planning and organization: Skills to plan, prioritize, and run the production process efficiently, managing timelines and resources.
  • Budgeting and cost control: Expertise in creating, negotiating, and managing budgets to control costs and improve profitability.
  • Technical proficiency: Knowledge of industry-specific processes, software, and tools relevant to the production environment.
  • Analytical skills: Ability to collect and interpret data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
  • Quality control: Establishing and managing quality standards to ensure high-quality output and adherence to regulations.
  • Project management: Experience in managing projects from start to finish, including resource allocation and timeline management.
