Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to defining the function's objectives, targets, and action plans in alignment with departmental and corporate strategies, in coordination with the Production Planning Manager.
- Support the development of the annual production business plan by identifying required resources and investments to achieve planned targets.
- Receive demand forecasts, review and validate them with the Production Planning Manager, and activate approved forecasts within the SAP system.
- Participate in capacity studies based on sales forecasts received from Customer Service and Sales Operations, covering both local and export SKUs, with a focus on long-term planning and resource optimization or reinvestment needs.
- Automate and continuously enhance production planning processes through effective utilization of SAP/ERP systems to minimize manual work.
- Assist in preparing the monthly Master Production Plan (MPP) in collaboration with production planning management.
- Execute the monthly Master Production Schedule (MPS) in SAP based on the approved annual production plan and align it with material planning and production teams.
- Update and communicate the monthly production schedule to production and material planning teams at the start of each month.
- Review weekly production plans, oversee assembly planning, prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), and calculate material requirements in coordination with the Materials Planner to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to ensure alignment between demand and supply.
- Break down monthly plans into weekly schedules, generate planned orders in the system, and ensure proper scheduling and execution.
- Monitor and maintain safety stock levels, activate production orders with detailed specifications, and coordinate scheduling with production planners.
- Prepare and communicate daily production planning and scheduling activities to ensure effective implementation.
- Liaise daily with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure material availability, machine readiness, and efficient execution of plans.
- Oversee production planning and control processes, identifying improvement opportunities and ensuring effective implementation of control systems.
- Review production plan performance, analyze variances, and ensure planning accuracy in coordination with planners.
- Review annual capacity loading and continuously monitor, update, and control capacity utilization on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Monitor monthly Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), analyze equipment breakdowns, conduct risk assessments, and recommend stock level adjustments to avoid sales losses.
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives and best practices to enhance production efficiency and operational performance.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to support continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
Academic & professional qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- CPIM Certified
- Minimum 7:8 years of experience in production planning, inventory management, or a related position.
- In-depth Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
- Previous experience in plastic manufacturing, injection molding, and similar manufacturing industries is a plus.
