Job Purpose: To provide oversight and leadership for the Women Leadership Program, ensuring its timely and high-quality implementation. Responsible for the full lifecycle of the program, managing high-level stakeholder engagement, capacity-building efforts, and donor reporting. The role integrates gender-responsive approaches to advance women's leadership in the financial sector, ensuring alignment with the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI) mandate and donor (SANAD) objective
Core Responsibilities
- Program Management and Delivery: Direct the full lifecycle of the program, translating high-level donor objectives into actionable strategic work plans. Orchestrate the implementation of complex activities, ensuring synergy between technical (mentorship/training) and operational workstreams to maximize impact. Institute a proactive risk management framework to anticipate implementation bottlenecks and devise contingency plans. Manage program resources and budget allocation, ensuring optimal utilization of funds in compliance with AUC policies and grant guidelines. Lead and mentor the program team, fostering a high-performance culture through clear Key Performance Indicators and regular performance reviews
- Stakeholder Engagement and Ecosystem Building: Act as the primary strategic representative, cultivating relationships with regional financial institutions and banks to secure institutional support. Manage the strategic relationship with the donor (SANAD/Finance in Motion), serving as the focal point for high-level correspondence and impact reporting. Spearhead the development of a sustainable network of mentors and industry experts, overseeing the vetting and matching process. Represent the CEI and the program at regional conferences and forums to elevate the program's profile
- Operational Excellence and Quality Assurance: Design and enforce a rigorous Quality Assurance (QA) framework. Analyze program data to identify trends, measure return on investment (ROI), and pivot strategies based on feedback. Oversee reporting and documentation, ensuring communication with donors meets institutional standards
- Additional Related Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Public Administration, Business, Gender Studies, or a related field is required
- 12 years of experience in development, women's empowerment, or program management
- Proven track record in stakeholder engagement and leading capacity-building programs
- Experience working with financial institutions and women's economic empowerment initiatives
Skills:
- Management: Strong program and project management skills, including work-plan development and risk management
- Communication: Fluency in English and Arabic; proficiency in reporting and donor communication
- Analytical: Ability to analyze data and integrate continuous improvement
