We are seeking a Project Control Manager as part of DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH, Riyadh Branch. The job opening is located in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and offers exciting challenges and potential for career growth.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing project planning, cost control, cost engineering, scheduling, risk management, and performance monitoring during the design review and construction supervision phases. The role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual, technical, and regulatory requirements.
- Accountable to lead and manage project control activities of a large size complex and technical nature of project in order to achieve most cost effective, efficient and timely delivery.
- Identifies, analyses, and provides innovative solutions to cost engineering and planning/scheduling problems.
- Prepares, coordinates, and present project controls strategies and tactics to senior management, as required.
- Provides generally non routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling guidance.
- Executes effective project controls measures for large or major project/program in accordance with project controls best practice approach
- Manages preparation of project cost status reports for the assigned project/program.
- Reviews of contract drafts for adequacy of cost and scope definition and Project Controls requirements.
- Coordinates development of all data in support of negotiations and on-going contract administration.
- Directs project control activities. Develops, interprets, and executes policy, objectives, and standards applicable to cost and schedule control and analysis activities.
- Prepares the Project Controls Plan for assigned project/program.
- Prepares and reviews earned value Data, proposal financial statements.
- Review contractor payment applications and variations.
- Ensure the successful implementation of an effective reporting system aligned to the best practices of DB E&C.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
- Professional certification (PMP, CCP or equivalent) advantage.
- At least 12 years of experience in infrastructure projects, including at least 5 years of experience in railway projects. Proven experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams.
- Have working experience in KSA or another GCC country.
- Experience in project controls, cost control systems, contract administration within infrastructure, building project or railways project.
- Cost in engineering functions, including cost estimating, control, and analysis, and planning and scheduling functions.
- Strong knowledge of scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project)
- Demonstrated initiative, drive, leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and quest for optimization.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well organization and planning skills.
- Ability to work in a cooperative team environment, with stakeholders from very different fields.
- Excellent communication skills fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Arabic language communication skills will be an advantage.
- User skills in MS Office applications MS Projects and/or Primavera P6.
- Driving license required to drive to site or to technical meetings with the client representative.
