Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Abu Dhabi for a Project Controls Lead. The primary responsibilities include overseeing project control activities such as cost control, budgeting, and cost management. The role involves analyzing project data and providing accurate reports while ensuring that all financial and scheduling goals are met. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with project teams to establish and maintain controls to support successful project delivery. Other responsibilities include the following:

  • Update, review, and submit the Cost Trackers by the agreed due date.
  • Review Award Recommendation Reports, Variation orders and Potential Change Requests to ensure a clear understanding of the budgeted amount of each commitment and a reflection of its cost impact on the Cost Trackers.
  • Execute Cost Controls Day-to-day tasks and provide the line manager with periodic reporting on four main areas: Budget reconciliation, Variance Reports, Forecasts, and Value of Work Done (VOWD).
  • Provide accurate cost advice and report to Modon.
  • Manage all downstream processes related to cost control and allocation.
  • Review the cash flow and VOWD forecast and confirm the amounts.
  • coordinate the monthly accruals with the site consultants and ensure that they are submitted to the relevant department.
  • Review and approve Consultants monthly Interim payment applications.
  • Analyze project data efficiently.
  • Maintain effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects and liaise with other stakeholders to ensure efficient financial control.
  • Ensure that all work output is delivered accurately and on time.
  • Represent the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with external stakeholders to form strong working relationships.
  • Manage consultants to ensure they properly follow our client's procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Survey, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years technical delivery experience.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CCP, or relevant are highly desirable
  • Strong skills in Pre and post contract Management to ensure effective project budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Proficiency in Budgeting and financial planning to track and monitor project expenditures.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Project Control and managing project timelines and deliverables.
  • Exceptional Analytical Skills to assess project performance and address any discrepancies effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software is an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Relevant academic qualifications in Engineering, Finance, or a related field; certifications in project control are a plus.
  • Experience in large-scale projects in Real Estate are highly desirable.
