A reputable financial technology company, is looking for a seasoned Project Delivery Manager who combines rigorous delivery discipline with deep techno-functional knowledge of fintech platforms.
The ideal candidate will own client implementations end to end, driving structured execution while also being the person who understands how the company's modules work, can engage meaningfully in technical discussions, and bridges business needs with platform capabilities.
This is not a coordination role. It is a delivery leadership role that demands both craft and substance.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery and Governance:
- Own end-to-end delivery of the company's implementation projects, from kickoff through post-go-live, across fintech and financial services clients in the GCC.
- Develop and maintain key project documentation, Project Charters, delivery plans, RAID logs, and progress reports, structured to drive alignment, not just record-keeping.
- Lead steering committee engagements. Presenting delivery status, managing escalations, and keeping senior stakeholders on both sides informed and aligned.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, dependencies, and risks while maintaining compliance with SAMA and GCC regulatory and governance frameworks.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams. Aligning engineering, product, and client stakeholders around clear ownership, priorities, and delivery milestones.
- Contribute to the company's PMO. Improving delivery frameworks, reporting standards, and implementation playbooks as the function scales.
Techno-Functional & Client:
- Build deep functional knowledge of the company's modules: payments, collections, disbursements, cards, lending, open banking, so you can guide configuration decisions and resolve ambiguity without constantly escalating to product or engineering.
- Engage meaningfully in technical integration reviews, understand gaps before they become delivery blockers.
- Contribute in functional workshops, translating client business requirements into platform configurations and delivery scope that both engineering teams and clients can commit to.
- Act as a trusted delivery partner to clients, building long-term relationships through transparency, delivery excellence, and a genuine understanding of their business.
- Stay current on digital banking trends, payments innovation, and emerging technologies to keep the company's delivery approach sharp and forward-looking.
Role Requirements:
Experience & Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 6–10 years in project management or delivery roles within consulting, fintech, or banking technology in the GCC with a track record of owning complex implementations end to end.
- Proven experience in team leadership, cross-functional coordination, and task allocation across multi-disciplinary delivery teams.
- Proven experience delivering complex core banking or retail banking implementations, or end-to-end card management programs is a must.
- Previous experience in Product Management or Techno-Functional Role is a plus
Project Management Skills:
- Strong command of project planning, risk management, dependency tracking, and budget oversight across the full delivery lifecycle.
- Fluency in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, comfortable adapting the approach to the project context rather than defaulting to one.
- Hands-on with modern PM tools: Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or equivalent with documentation and reporting treated as a first-class habit.
- Solid understanding of risk, governance, compliance, and SAMA regulatory frameworks in Saudi Arabia's fintech landscape.
Techno-Functional Skills:
- Basic functional understanding of payments infrastructure: how payment rails, collections, disbursements, reconciliation, and open banking flows work end to end.
- Enough technical depth to engage in API integration discussions and spot where integration decisions will create downstream issues.
- Ability to contribute in functional requirement workshops producing specs that engineering and clients both trust.
- Capacity to make independent platform and configuration decisions, you understand the product deeply enough to resolve grey areas without constant escalation.
Soft Skills & Culture:
- Strong communication and presentation skills, equally effective in a C-level steering committee and a technical integration review.
- People-first leadership, you build trust quickly, create clarity in ambiguity, and foster collaboration across delivery teams without micromanaging.
- Ownership mindset, you take accountability for outcomes, not just activities, and you bring adaptability and maturity to fast-moving environments.
- Arabic Native and very good English command is a must for client-facing contexts across the GCC.
Nice to Have:
- Experience delivering API-first, open banking, or embedded finance platforms in a SaaS environment.
- Previous experience in product management or techno-functional consultancy.
- Background in solution consulting, pre-sales, or functional analysis for fintech or banking platforms.
- Familiarity with core banking systems or payment switching infrastructure.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications.
