Job Description

The Kraft Heinz Company is looking for a Project Engineer who will lead and support capital and continuous improvement projects to enhance plant performance across production, maintenance, safety, and quality. This role is responsible for end-to-end project management, including scope development, engineering design and technical support, contractor selection and oversight, and ensuring projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget while meeting all regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute capital projects in addition to cost estimation and cost control
  • Lead daily/weekly activities related to all Capital and projects.
  • Contributes in the identification of priorities, implementation of plans, project schedules, permitting, training of contractors.
  • Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
  • Controls project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts.
  • Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
  • Leads / manages projects to be within budget and on time.
  • Validation and close out of project as well as evaluation and post project reviews
  • Assists in the identification, qualification and evaluation of new suppliers.
  • Identifies potential problems that may arise due to the implementation of projects.
  • Identifies and assists in the procurement of spare parts and services required by the implementation of new projects.
  • Assists in the revision of plans, specifications, master planning, and Design and infrastructure program.
  • Manages multiple, concurrent projects with independent critical milestone activities
  • Develops cost estimates, justifications, and schedules for capital projects
  • Develop equipment and installation specifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical or mechatronics)
  • 3 to 5 years of experience Preferable in FMCG
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD, project management is preferable
  • Microsoft Office (word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent Command of both Spoken and written Arabic and English.
