Job Description

Lavita Landscape is looking for a detail-oriented Project Engineer to serve as the critical link between our design studio and field operations. You will be responsible for translating high-end landscape concepts into technical reality, ensuring that every hardscape structure, irrigation system, and planting plan is executed with engineering precision, on time, and within budget.

Core Responsibilities

Technical Oversight: Review landscape architectural plans, shop drawings, and MEP requirements to identify and resolve structural or logistical conflicts before construction begins.
Project Documentation: Manage the RFI (Request for Information) and submittal processes, maintaining meticulous records to ensure field teams are working from the most current revisions.
Site Coordination: Conduct regular site visits to verify that installationsfrom complex drainage systems to custom masonryalign with engineering standards and design intent.
Budget & Schedule Tracking: Assist the Project Manager in monitoring material procurement, labor productivity, and project timelines to prevent scope creep and delays.

Requirements

Requirements

Education & Experience: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Landscape Architecture, with 24 years of experience in site development or exterior construction.
Technical Proficiency: Mastery of AutoCAD and project management software (e.g.,MS Project); ability to perform accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimations.
Field Knowledge: Strong understanding of soil mechanics, grading/drainage, hardscape construction details, and irrigation hydraulics.
Communication: A proactive problem-solver who can clearly communicate technical constraints to designers and practical solutions to site foremen.
