Description
Tuwaiq Casting & Forging is seeking a driven and technically competent Project Engineer to join the Project Management team within the Operational Excellence Department. Reporting to the Project Manager, this role supports the successful planning, execution, and delivery of customer projects and capital operational projects across the organization. The Project Engineer serves as a key interface between the customer and cross-functional teams, facilitating project coordination, technical review, progress reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage assigned projects or workstreams from purchase order receipt to close-out, including scheduling, execution, monitoring, and reporting
- Conduct project kick-off meetings and facilitate alignment between internal departments including Technical, Quality, Procurement, Finance, and Commercial teams
- Monitor project schedules and deliverables, ensuring timely progress in accordance with contractual commitments and operational plans
- Review and interpret technical documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure project compliance with customer requirements
- Coordinate and track procurement activities, material status, and delivery schedules
- Identify, document, and manage changes in project scope, including preparation of variation orders and contractual change requests
- Resolve technical and project-related issues through collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Facilitate project status review meetings and maintain up-to-date records of progress, risks, and actions
- Provide regular updates and project reports to internal stakeholders and clients, ensuring transparency and accountability
- Support financial tracking of project costs and invoices in collaboration with relevant departments
- Ensure customer feedback and complaints are addressed promptly through coordinated corrective actions
- Assist in the preparation of lessons learned and project close-out documentation.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a Project Engineer role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as relevant project management tools
- Demonstrated skills in project scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
