Our client is hiring for an Estimator who can prepare accurate cost estimates for marine projects, including vessel construction, maintenance, and repairs. The role involves analyzing project data, specifications, and drawings to estimate material, labor, and equipment costs, while supporting risk identification and updating estimates as projects evolve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and update cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and resources
- Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and production teams
- Identify cost risks and support mitigation efforts
- Maintain clear records of estimates, assumptions, and revisions
- Ensure safety and industry standards are included in cost assessments
Key Competencies:
- Knowledge of marine projects and cost estimation principles
- Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings
- Proficiency in estimating tools and software
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Degree in Marine/Mechanical/Civil Engineering or related field; relevant certifications preferred
