The Role
We are seeking a Project Finance Associate with a strong interest in renewable energy and the energy transition. You will support the structuring and execution of non-recourse project financings for wind, solar, and storage assets, working at the intersection of commercial, technical, and financial decision-making. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to the growth of clean-energy infrastructure across Europe and emerging markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Support full-lifecycle renewable energy project financing, including modelling, valuation, due diligence, and lender engagement.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models for solar, wind and storage projects, incorporating technical assumptions (yield, availability, degradation, curtailment, etc.).
- Assist in structuring debt solutions aligned with market standards for renewable energy financing.
- Evaluate key project documents (PPA, EPC, O&M, TSA) to understand bankability and risk allocation.
- Work closely with technical, environmental, and legal advisors involved in clean-energy transactions.
- Prepare credit papers, investment committee materials, and presentations summarising project economics and financing strategy.
- Support ongoing asset monitoring, covenant compliance, and lender reporting for operational renewable assets.
- Track market developments across the energy transition landscape, including regulatory changes, financing trends, and policy support mechanisms.
About You
- Strong financial modelling experience specifically relating to infrastructure or clean-energy assets.
- Understanding of renewables project structures, grid considerations, PPA pricing, and technical yield drivers.
- Familiarity with non-recourse financing, development-stage risk, and the key documents underpinning renewable projects.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical and financial insights into clear investment recommendations.
- Passion for sustainability, climate finance, and the global energy transition.
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
