Job Description

Our client is a specialist clean energy investment platform dedicated to financing and delivering utility-scale renewable energy projects. With a portfolio spanning solar, onshore/offshore wind, battery storage, and emerging energy-transition technologies, the organisation plays a central role in accelerating the shift to a low-carbon economy. They partner with developers, lenders, and international institutions to bring bankable, high-impact projects to fruition.

The Role

We are seeking a Project Finance Associate with a strong interest in renewable energy and the energy transition. You will support the structuring and execution of non-recourse project financings for wind, solar, and storage assets, working at the intersection of commercial, technical, and financial decision-making. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to the growth of clean-energy infrastructure across Europe and emerging markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support full-lifecycle renewable energy project financing, including modelling, valuation, due diligence, and lender engagement.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models for solar, wind and storage projects, incorporating technical assumptions (yield, availability, degradation, curtailment, etc.).
  • Assist in structuring debt solutions aligned with market standards for renewable energy financing.
  • Evaluate key project documents (PPA, EPC, O&M, TSA) to understand bankability and risk allocation.
  • Work closely with technical, environmental, and legal advisors involved in clean-energy transactions.
  • Prepare credit papers, investment committee materials, and presentations summarising project economics and financing strategy.
  • Support ongoing asset monitoring, covenant compliance, and lender reporting for operational renewable assets.
  • Track market developments across the energy transition landscape, including regulatory changes, financing trends, and policy support mechanisms.

About You

  • Strong financial modelling experience specifically relating to infrastructure or clean-energy assets.
  • Understanding of renewables project structures, grid considerations, PPA pricing, and technical yield drivers.
  • Familiarity with non-recourse financing, development-stage risk, and the key documents underpinning renewable projects.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical and financial insights into clear investment recommendations.
  • Passion for sustainability, climate finance, and the global energy transition.
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a relevant discipline.

Why Join

  • Contribute directly to the financing of new renewable energy capacity.
  • Gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies shaping the energy transition.
  • Work with a team recognised as sector specialists in clean-energy investment.
  • Strong progression opportunities as the platform expands globally.
