Cloud Infrastructure Data Center Project Manager (Senior) is required by our expanding global IT Consulting services client.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full life cycle of AI enabled data center construction. overseeing the design, construction, and operational security of critical infrastructure, managing budgets, compliance, and vendor relationships while also deploying security systems, monitoring risk, and ensuring data protection standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of data center infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of critical infrastructure, including UPS, switchgear, generators, chillers (HVAC), and low-voltage structured cabling systems.
- Manage onsite construction firms, engineers, and suppliers. Review Bill of Materials (BOM), evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts.
- Act as the primary liaison between internal technical teams (network engineering, hardware ops), vendors, and leadership. Provide regular project status reports.
- Coordinate with capacity teams to ensure new facilities meet demand, focusing on power density and space optimization.
- Lead the implementation, maintenance, and upgrade of data center security systems (eg, surveillance, access control, perimeter security).
- Project Planning & Execution: Define project scope, create detailed project plans, manage budgets, and oversee installation/retrofit projects
- Risk & Compliance Management: Identify security threats and risks, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and policies.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with data center operations, security teams, and third-party vendors.
- Incident Response & Security Operations: Oversee the security of infrastructure, including protection of data, patching systems, and coordinating during security incidents.
ESSENTIAL experience
- Minimum 5-8+ years of experience in data center project management, construction management, or mission-critical facilities.
- Proven track record in delivery on similar projects and history of longevity in previous roles and projects
- Strong background as an Cloud Infrastructure consultant with hybrid knowledge of Hyperscalers
- Strong understanding of data center design, cooling systems, power distribution, and cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) architecture.
- Proficiency in MS Project, or Jira.
- Nutanix/VMWare
- PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, or Data Center certifications (eg, Uptime Institute) are highly preferred.
- 5+ years in data center security systems,
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and physical/digital security protocols.
- Fluent English is essential; Arabic proficiency is preferred.

- Highly desirable for somebody to have worked in the Saudi region or UAE before
