Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced
Project Manager – Fit-Out & Construction to manage and coordinate fit-out, refurbishment, and construction projects within a large-scale corporate environment in the UAE. The successful candidate will take ownership of projects from planning and design coordination through execution, handover, and close-out. This role requires a strong technical background in
Civil Engineering or Architecture, extensive UAE project experience, practical knowledge of
AutoCAD, and the ability to coordinate contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage fit-out, refurbishment, renovation, and construction projects from initiation through completion and handover.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resources, and delivery milestones.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review architectural, civil, and fit-out drawings and ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Use AutoCAD to review, interpret, coordinate, and where required make practical adjustments to technical drawings.
- Monitor onsite activities to ensure projects are delivered according to approved designs, specifications, quality standards, budgets, and timelines.
- Conduct regular site inspections and project progress meetings.
- Identify project risks, delays, technical issues, and dependencies and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Review contractor progress and ensure effective coordination between different project disciplines.
- Support tendering, contractor evaluation, scope definition, and project documentation where required.
- Manage variations, change requests, snagging, testing, handover, and project close-out activities.
- Ensure works comply with relevant UAE regulations, HSE requirements, building standards, and authority requirements.
- Prepare regular project status reports and provide clear updates to management and key stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture – mandatory.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the UAE – mandatory.
- Demonstrable experience managing fit-out and construction projects in the UAE.
- Valid UAE driving licence – mandatory.
- Strong practical/hands-on knowledge of AutoCAD – mandatory.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, materials, and site execution.
- Experience coordinating contractors, consultants, suppliers, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Good understanding of UAE construction practices, regulations, approval processes, and HSE requirements.
- Strong project planning, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Profile
We are particularly interested in Project Managers who combine a
strong technical Civil/Architectural foundation with hands-on site and fit-out delivery experience. Experience delivering projects within
large corporate environments, commercial facilities, aviation, hospitality, retail, real estate, or other complex operational environments would be advantageous.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on Project Manager who is comfortable moving between
technical drawings, site execution, contractor management, project planning, stakeholder coordination, and final handover. They should be able to independently drive projects forward while maintaining strong control over quality, timelines, costs, and project risks.
