The Project Manager Events Technology will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering complex event-technology projects from inception through live execution and post-event evaluation. This role ensures client objectives are met with high technical standards, on time and within budget, while maintaining strong communication across teams and stakeholders. The Project Manager acts as the central point of accountability for project success and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage event technology projects including immersive experiences, interactive installations, AR/VR, projection mapping, kinetic systems, and digital content delivery.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocations, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate internal teams (creative, technical, content, logistics) and external partners/vendors to ensure seamless delivery.
- Serve as the primary client contact for project milestones, briefings, updates, and approvals.
- Monitor and control budget, contractual obligations, and financial forecasting for assigned projects.
- Oversee quality assurance checks and ensure deliverables meet company and client expectations.
- Facilitate clear communication across stakeholders and prepare regular project status reports.
- Proactively identify and solve challenges, escalating issues where necessary to senior leadership.
- Lead on-site execution during setup, rehearsals, and live event operations.
- Conduct post-project evaluations and gather lessons learned to refine processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, Events, Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in project management, ideally within the events, experiential technology, live production or creative technology sectors.
- Strong understanding of event technology ecosystems including hardware, software, integration, and on-site operational logistics.
- Exceptional planning, organizational and multitasking capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, adapt quickly to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello, or similar).
- Experience managing cross-functional, technical teams and external vendors.
- PMP, Prince2, or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
