Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

To ensure successful completion of IT projects within set time and monetary budgets, within the right level of agreed quality.

Key Results & Accountabilities

  1. Manage the delivery of these SLAs and ensure that these SLAs are being met by the implementation vendor.
  2. Ensure smooth transition of projects to IT services at the project completion stage.
  3. Work closely with LA departments to float the requisite RFPs and select vendors to implement various solutions for RTA.
  4. Ensure that the vendors deliver as per the standards set by the ITD
  5. Ensure that vendors proposed estimations that includes: timelines, budgets, man-days and others are appropriate to the licensing agency and RTA
  6. Monitor the vendor performance throughout the implementation and report any issues (if they arise) during the implementation.
  7. Ensure the Execution of projects is done in accordance with the RTA IT Enterprise Architecture and all applicable policies.
  8. Own the project results and report the project progress to the licensing management, PMO and other RTA executives in co-ordination with the IT management.
  9. Ensure achievement of project timelines, efficient use of resources to meet the project objectives.
  10. Ensure that IT PM methodology and LA PM Methodology are followed throughout the execution of a project.
  11. Document project requirements in a business case and/or project brief and maintain it according to the IT methodology in order to facilitate ongoing support and maintenance.
  12. Take into consideration the dependencies from other projects while completing the existing project.
  13. Coordinate on a regular basis with the LA PMO & ITD PMO and provide data related to project status.
  14. Plan the activities of the solution implementation team and monitor the solution implementation plan.
  15. Maintain awareness of current and emerging technologies, software packages, project management methodologies and tools.
  16. Revise and monitor project management standards and procedures and propose recommendations for improvement to ensure projects are managed effectively.
  17. Assist Senior Manager IT Team in setting relevant standards, methodologies and frameworks.
  18. Assess the project team involved in the projects (including the RTA internal team as well as vendors team) and report performance to IT Team and the PMO.
  19. Develop and manage the SLAs for the various implementations.
  20. Perform other responsibilities associated with the position as appropriate.

# Bachelor degree in Computer Science/IT from a recognized university with PMP. Masters preferred.
