The SME Project Manager is responsible for launching, building, and leading the SME stream from the ground up. The role will own end-to-end delivery of the SME initiative, including defining the operating model, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving execution to ensure a successful and scalable launch. This position plays a critical role in aligning strategy with execution, establishing processes, and delivering sustainable growth for the SME business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end launch and execution of the SME Trading Credit product, from concept through go-live and scaling.
- Define and implement the SME operating model, including processes, workflows, roles, and governance structures.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (Operations, Risk, Compliance, Technology, Legal, Sharia, and Sales) to ensure seamless execution.
- Oversee the processing of SME credit applications, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage documentation workflows, including contracts, promissory notes, and supporting credit documentation, ensuring timely and compliant execution.
- Monitor disbursements, repayments, and ongoing servicing activities to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders on SME-related initiatives, tracking progress and resolving blockers.
- Establish KPIs, reporting dashboards, and performance metrics to monitor product performance and operational effectiveness.
- Identify operational risks and inefficiencies, and proactively design solutions to mitigate issues and improve scalability.
- Support regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements related to SME credit products in Saudi Arabia.
- Drive continuous process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance speed, accuracy, and customer experience.
- Prepare executive updates and presentations on SME product performance, milestones, and strategic recommendations.
- Contribute to strategic planning and roadmap development for future SME product enhancements and expansions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a STEM field.
- Minimum 3+ years experience in fast-paced environments such as management consulting, tech startups, or venture capital.
- Strong analytical skills, including financial and business modelling.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, and Confluence (SQL / BI tools a plus).
- Demonstrated ability to own workstreams, prioritize effectively, and deliver results under deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage multicultural stakeholders.
- Advanced English proficiency.
