Job Summary:

The Project Planning and Risk Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring project plans, schedules, and risk management strategies across various projects within the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of project management methodologies, risk assessment techniques, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, proactive, and possess excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilites:

Project Planning:

  • :Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resource allocation, and bud
  • get.Create and maintain detailed project schedules using appropriate software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Proje
  • ct).Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project activities, dependencies, and critical pa
  • ths.Monitor project progress against established baselines and identify any deviations or del
  • ays.Prepare and present regular project status reports, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and foreca
  • sts.Facilitate planning workshops and meetings to ensure alignment and buy-in from all stakehold
  • ers.Implement and maintain project planning tools and templates.

Risk Management:

  • Identify, assess, and prioritize project risks and opportunities across all project ph
  • ases.Develop and implement robust risk mitigation strategies and contingency p
  • lans.Maintain a comprehensive project risk register, tracking identified risks, their likelihood, impact, and proposed respo
  • nses.Conduct regular risk reviews and updates with project teams and stakehol
  • ders.Monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures and adjust strategies as ne
  • eded.Provide training and guidance to project teams on risk management best pract
  • ices.Report on overall project risk exposure and recommend actions to senior manage
  • ment.Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned related to project planning and risk managment.

  • tools.Act as a central point of contact for project planning and risk-related inqu
  • iries.Foster a culture of proactive planning and risk awareness within the organiz
  • ation.Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in project planning and risk managment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related
  • field.3 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and risk management roles, preferably within the [relevant industry, e.g., construction, IT, oil & gas]
  • sector.Proven experience with project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or s
  • imilar.Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile, Wate
  • rfall).Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing risk management frameworks and pro
  • cesses.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for
  • detail.Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation
  • skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced envir
  • onment.PMP, PMI-RMP, or other relevant certifications are highly des
  • irable.Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a strong asset.
