Project Site Manager - PV/BESS Utility Scale Project

We are seeking an exceptional Project Site Manager to lead a landmark, large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant integrated with a state-of-the-art Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). This is a high-profile, strategic project that will play a pivotal role in the UAE's clean energy transition.

Overview

The Project Site Manager will hold full accountability for managing the entire construction and commissioning effort on site. This includes overseeing all phases from ground-breaking through to final handover, encompassing estimating, scheduling, subcontractor management, and continuous progress monitoring.

Responsibilities

Construction & Project Management: Leading and managing all aspects of site construction, including estimating, scheduling, and day-to-day operations. Direct oversight and management of the EPC Contractor, subcontractors, and all stakeholders.

Commissioning Leadership: Guiding and overseeing the entire commissioning process, including pre-commissioning activities, functional testing, energization, and final handover to the client.

Contractual & Commercial Acumen: Demonstrating a solid understanding of construction subcontracts, insurance matters, and permitting processes. Navigating complex contractual landscapes and ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.

Reporting & Documentation: Preparing clear and accurate progress documentation and reports for senior management. Maintaining meticulous records of project milestones, issues, and resolutions.

HSE Leadership: Championing and enforcing a world-class Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture across the entire site.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution.

Experience: Minimum of 15 years in managing multi-disciplinary industrial construction projects.

Specialized Expertise: Specific and demonstrable experience in the construction of utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) power plants.

Technical Knowledge: Sound working knowledge of power generation systems and familiarity with all relevant local codes, regulations, and permitting procedures.

Contractual Knowledge: Solid understanding of construction subcontracts, insurance matters, and permitting processes, as well as project scheduling and reporting requirements.

Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related project management tools.

Languages: Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic is preferred.

Compensation & Salary

Monthly Package: AED 40,000 (All-Inclusive)

Residence Visa: Provided

Annual Leave: One month of paid annual leave entitlement
