A leading strategic communications and advisory firm is expanding its regional leadership team and is looking to appoint a Public Affairs Senior Director to drive strategic counsel, policy engagement, and integrated communications advisory across the GCC.

This is a senior leadership role for a seasoned public affairs professional with deep market knowledge, strong government networks, and the ability to lead high-impact mandates for multinational and regional clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of public affairs and government relations strategies

• Advise C-suite clients on policy positioning, regulatory landscapes, and stakeholder engagement

• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with government entities, regulators, and industry bodies

• Provide strategic oversight on advocacy campaigns, policy briefs, and thought leadership initiatives

• Manage crisis and issues mandates, ensuring senior counsel and reputation protection

• Lead and mentor a high-performing consulting team across markets

• Support business growth through client development and new business initiatives

Requirements

• 12–15+ years of experience in public affairs, government relations, or strategic communications

• Proven experience in the GCC, with strong knowledge of regional policy environments

• Established network across government, regulatory, and institutional stakeholders

• Experience advising senior executives and managing complex, multi-market mandates

• Strong commercial acumen and team leadership capability

• Arabic language capability is a plus
