A wellestablished multispecialty hospital based in Abu Dhabi is currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join its leadership team. This role is pivotal in managing procurement operations, supplier relationships, and cost optimization while ensuring uninterrupted clinical and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee endtoend purchasing and procurement activities for medical, pharmaceutical, and nonmedical supplies
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with hospital operational and budgetary objectives
- Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, internal policies, and quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations
- Analyze procurement data to identify costsaving opportunities and improve efficiency
- Coordinate closely with clinical, finance, and operations teams
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience of 4 plus years as a Purchasing Manager or Senior Procurement role, preferably within a hospital or healthcare environment
- Strong understanding of medical and hospital supply chain requirements
- Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills
- Familiarity with UAE healthcare regulations and procurement practices is an advantage
- Strong leadership, communication, and decisionmaking abilities
