Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is highly advantageous.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in purchasing or strategic sourcing.
- Mandatory experience in procuring complex, highly technical components within the automotive or rail/mass transit industry.
- Demonstrable experience managing a global supply chain, including purchasing components from UAE, Europe, and Asia.
Location Expertise: Good understanding of logistics, customs procedures, and trade compliance requirements specific to the UAE.
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proven ability to work in a dynamic, R&D-focused environment with rapidly changing requirements.
- Excellent communication skills in English is mandatory. Arabic proficiency is beneficial.
