Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated Purchasing Specialist to join the Jude Benhalim team in Cairo, Egypt. This is a full-time, on-site role where the primary responsibilities include managing purchasing processes, maintaining accurate purchase orders, and ensuring timely procurement of materials. The role will involve analyzing supplier proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the quality and cost-effectiveness of purchased products. The Purchasing Specialist will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to support smooth and efficient supply chain operations.

Location: Industrial Zone, New Cairo.

Job Purpose:

To manage end-to-end procurement activities while building strong supplier relationships, ensuring ethical sourcing, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiencyparticularly within the jewelry industry.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Supplier Relationship Management Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of jewelry suppliers, including precious metals dealers, gemstone suppliers, and component manufacturers
  • Build long-term partnerships with certified suppliers, ensuring ethical and conflict-free sourcing
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts focusing on price optimization, quality, and delivery reliability
  • Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and scorecards (quality, delivery, service)
  • Procurement Operations Create, review, and process purchase orders with high accuracy in specifications, quantities, and timelines
  • Coordinate with Quality Control teams to ensure material authenticity, purity standards, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with Production and Sales teams on demand forecasting and inventory planning
  • Monitor precious metals and gemstone market prices to minimize cost volatility
  • Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with jewelry industry standards, import/export regulations, and ethical sourcing requirements
  • Maintain procurement records, certificates of authenticity, and traceability documentation
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks related to market fluctuations and supplier reliability

  • Job Requirements Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years in procurement, preferably within the luxury goods or jewelry industry
  • Technical Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
